Important information about supplementary insurance

Thai Forest is not an insurance advisor. However, with over 9 years’ experience, we have acquired in-depth knowledge of the insurers who do or do not reimburse massage costs. This is why we have set up this service, independent of our firm, to provide you with a concrete and professional response on this subject.

Dear patients,

Since 2015, our practice has been accredited by the ASCA (Swiss Foundation for Complementary Medicine) for Thai massage, classical massage and, from July 2025, lymphatic drainage.

Our therapist, Ornouma, has completed a very large number of certified training courses, totalling over 1000 hours, and has accompanied thousands of clients over the last 9 years. However, it seems that this is no longer enough in the eyes of some insurers, who now require a federal diploma in medical massage for our treatments to be reimbursed.

The exorbitant cost and duration of this training simply made it impossible to carry out. Yet Ornouma continues to offer its patients a high-quality service and personalised support.

Since mid-2024, the situation has changed considerably. Many supplementary insurance companies have drastically reduced the number of massages reimbursed, or even abolished reimbursement altogether for certain therapies.

We strongly deplore this new trend, which seems to be putting patients’ well-being to one side in favour of more administrative criteria. In response to your many questions and concerns about reimbursements, we have put in place a solution to help you.

An insurance advisor, an expert in the subtleties of the new reimbursement conditions, is now available to help you. He works with several insurers, enabling him to compare the different options and guide you towards the insurance that best suits your needs.

In an area where conditions change rapidly, his help is invaluable, as it’s difficult to keep up with all the developments and stay up to date.

Don’t hesitate to contact him for any further information. We will also be happy to answer any questions you may have.

This advisor is not an employee of our firm, but acts as an independent partner. For all technical and administrative questions relating to insurance, it is his company that will handle your requests

How do you go about it?

  1. Contact the advisor either via his direct telephone number 079 291 35 14, (indicating that you are calling on behalf of Thai Forest), or by filling in the attached contact form.
  2. Your contact details (name, address, telephone number, e-mail, etc.).
  3. The number of people concerned by your request.
  4. The type of insurance you require (e.g. health, life, motor, etc.).
  5. Validate the three authorisations required to process your request.

The insurer will contact you quickly to arrange a meeting, either at your home or at a nearby café, depending on your preference.

If possible, bring your current insurance policies with you. This will enable the insurer to analyse them and compare them with any new offers you may receive.
